2.4 - Your First Search

PlantQuest allows you to search for assets or room by directly entering its Tag/ID, using filters, or interacting with the map. To get started, lets walk you through searching by Tag/ID.

Enter an asset or room Tag/ID in the search bar on the left panel.

• Click/tap the relevant result from the dropdown to view its location on the map.

• A pin will appear on the map, marking the asset or room’s location.

• If you searched for a room, the assets within it will be listed in the left-hand panel.

Why Does This Matter? Searching is the quickest way to locate anything in a large facility—whether it’s a room, equipment, or an alarm.

Tip: If no search results appear after entering an asset tag, the asset may not be registered in the PlantQuest system. If you have the required user access, you can add the asset through the admin portal. To learn how, visit the Managing Assets page below.
