Accessing 360 Environments

This feature is available on web application only.

PlantQuest allows users to switch from the interactive 2D map to an immersive 360 environment captured using LiDAR and 360° photogrammetry. To learn more about the benefits of this, visit herearrow-up-right. Where 360 content has been captured and integrated by PlantQuest, it can be accessed directly through the PlantQuest OneView interface.

The 360 environment is accessed via the 360 icon located in the bottom-right corner of the application. When this icon is grey as outlined below, selecting it will open the default entry point within the 360 scan.

When a user searches for, or selects an asset or room that has associated 3D data, the 360 icon will change from grey to yellow. At the same time, the corresponding polygon on the 2D map will also be highlighted in yellow, indicating that 3D data is available for that location.

If a room is selected, and the yellow 360 icon is chosen, the user will be taken to the centre of that room within the 360 environment. If an asset is selected and 3D data is available, swapping to the 360 environment will navigate the user directly to the asset’s location within the 360 environment. Where the asset has only been positioned on the 2D map, the user will be taken to its approximate location. However, if the asset has been positioned within the 360 environment, the user will be taken to its precise location, with the asset visible in the default view.

To view an individual asset in the 360 environment after you have selected a room with associated 3D data, the user must first open the asset information panel for the respective asset, before selecting the yellow 360 icon.
