4.2 - Change Log

When a user Adds, Updates or Archives an Asset, or a Room within the system, the update is recorded within the Change Log.

To access the Change Log, go to Admin Portal → Change Log

Change Log Overview

The Change Log is displayed in chronological order and includes the following details:

  • Name – The user who performed the change

  • Asset Tag – The asset associated with the change

  • Action – Type of change (Add, Update, or Archive)

  • Date & Time – When the change was made

Searching the Change Log

Use the search box to filter logs by:

  • Name (User who made the change)

  • Asset Tag (Specific asset or room affected)

  • Action (Add, Update, or Archive)

Viewing Change Details

When selecting a log entry, you’ll see:

  • User Information – Name & email of the person who made the change

  • Timestamp – Exact date & time of the modification

  • Justification – The reason provided for the change

  • Old vs. New Data – A comparison of the previous and updated asset or room information

Why Does This Matter? Supports compliance, auditing, and troubleshooting. You can see who edited what and when.
