3.1 - Searching by Tag / ID
This feature is available on both web and mobile applications.
PlantQuest allows you to locate assets or rooms by searching for their Tag/ID or alias. Upon searching for an asset or a room, you can view its exact location within your facility.
Asset Search
Enter an asset’s Tag/ID in the search bar on the left panel.
Select the relevant result from the dropdown to view the asset’s location on the map.
A pin will appear on the map, marking the asset’s location.
If the asset is on a different map, the view will automatically switch to the correct map.
Zoom in to see the exact location of the asset.
The asset’s Tag/ID will appear below the search box. Select
next to assets Tag / ID will open the asset info card for more details.Click the navigation icon (
) next to the asset’s Tag/ID to activate navigation mode, inputting the asset as your destination. To learn more, visit the Indoor Navigation subpage.
Room Search
Enter a Room ID or Name in the search bar on the left panel.
Click/tap the relevant result from the dropdown to view the room’s location on the map.
The room’s outline will be highlighted on the map.
If the room is on a different map, the view will automatically switch to the correct map.
Zoom in to see the exact location and outline of the room.
The Room’s Name / ID and alias (if available) will appear below the search box, along with any assets located inside the room. Select
next to the room tag to open the room info card for more details.Selecting an asset from the left panel will place a pin on the map, marking its location within the room.
Clicking an asset pin on the map will display its Tag/ID above the pin.
Select the navigation icon (
) next to the Room Name or an Asset’s Tag/ID to activate navigation mode, inputting your selection as the destination. To learn more, visit the Indoor Navigation subpage.
